Dealer licence (macropods) - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence to buy, sell or process eastern grey kangaroos, red kangaroos and wallaroos (macropods). This licence applies to a specified site or premises.

There are three categories depending on your intended activities:

  • Dealer site - allows you to buy macropod carcasses and skins on site. This licence does not allow you to process the carcasses, meat or skins. It is sometimes known as a 'field depot' licence. A dealer site licence requires the premises to be in Queensland.
  • Meat processing - allows you to process macropod meat at the site.
  • Tannery - allows you to process macropod skins at the site.
