Your council regulates the establishment of entertainment venues to:
- ensure that entertainment venues comply with appropriate standards of health and safety
- protect the amenity of areas in which entertainment venues are situated
- regulate the use of public entertainment venues, as well as the activities conducted there.
Examples of entertainment venues include:
- ten-pin bowling centres
- sporting clubs
- cinemas
- gymnasiums
- fitness centres
- museums
- zoos
- music or performance venues
- amusement arcades
- water parks.
