General fisheries permit (brood / culture stock) - Queensland

Description

You will need this permit to collect broodstock or culture stock from the wild. Broodstock must be used for breeding fisheries resources, and culture stock must be used for aquaculture purposes.

You will need this permit if you are conducting the following activities:

  • collecting regulated species (under minimum or above maximum size limits, or in excess of possession limits
  • collecting during closed seasons or in closed waters
  • using fishing gear not permitted for recreational fishing.

You can obtain this permit by submitting a completed General fisheries permit application for broodstock collection form to Fisheries Queensland.

Native title notification may be required. This will automatically delay the application for approximately 8 weeks.

Transfer

You cannot transfer this permit.
