Hazardous manual tasks code of practice 2021 - Queensland

Description

You will need to comply with this code if you carry out some type of hazardous manual task. Manual tasks involve using the body to move or hold an object, people or animals and cover a wide range of activities including stacking shelves, working on a conveyor line and entering data into a computer. A manual task becomes hazardous when they need a person to be exposed to repetitive or sustained force, high or sudden force, repetitive movement, sustained or awkward posture or exposure to vibration.

This code provides practical guidance on how to comply with your work health and safety duties, including effective ways to identify and manage risks.

You will either need to comply with this code or an alternative method that sets an equivalent or higher standard of work health and safety.
