ID scanning systems operator approval - Queensland

Description

You will need this approval if you intend to provide approved ID scanning systems and equipment for use at licensed premises.

ID scanning is only required for premises situated in a designated safe night precinct that have approval to sell or supply liquor between midnight and 5am.

You will be responsible for maintaining and operating the systems which store banned information provided by the Queensland police and the courts. You are also responsible for getting your equipment approved.

Application process

Apply

To apply for a licence, you will need to submit the following:

  • Form 52: Application for an approved operator approval
  • Company probity form: Applicant for approved ID scanning systems
  • Personal probity form: Applicant for approved ID scanning systems (for an individual applicant, or for each company director, company secretary, chief executive officer, shareholder and where applicable, each beneficiary (over 18) under a trust).

Vary

You must notify OLGR in writing if any of the following changes occur:

  • change of company name
  • change of shareholders
  • change of executive officer / secretary.

Transfer

This licence cannot be transferred.
