Interactive gambling licence - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence if you operate an interactive gaming service for an approved game. An interactive game is one where:

  • a prize is offered or can be won under the rules of the game
  • a player participates in the game by means of a telecommunication device and pays money to participate in the game
  • the winner is decided wholly or partly by chance or as a result of the player's skill.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must prepare and submit:

  • adequate information to satisfy the Minister of your suitability
  • information about the suitability of your business or executive associates using the probity forms
  • information relating to the system of controls for the proposed interactive game
  • technical information for the evaluation of any associated regulated interactive gaming equipment.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

You must ensure that all players of the interactive game are registered. You will need to verify players' identity and hold on behalf of the player the funds necessary to cover the amount of their wager.

You will need to ensure that you comply with all operational requirements and additional licence conditions.
