Major hazard facilities licence - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a major hazard facility. Major hazard facilities (MHF) are locations that store above threshold quantities of chemicals listed in schedule 15 of the regulation or determined as a MHF after an inquiry process.

Major hazard facilities are places where large quantities of hazardous material are stored, handled or processed, such as:

  • oil refineries
  • chemical plants
  • large fuel and chemical storage sites.
