Major hazard facilities licence - Queensland

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to operate a major hazard facilities (MHF). Major hazard facilities are locations that store above threshold quantities of chemicals listed in schedule 15 of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2021 or determined as a MHF an inquiry process.

Major hazard facilities are places where large quantities of hazardous material are stored, handled or processed, such as:

  • oil refineries
  • chemical plants
  • large fuel and chemical storage sites.
