You must notify the agency if you are operating a facility with schedule 15 chemicals present in a quantity that exceeds 10% of their threshold quantity.
Known as Major Hazard Facilities (MHFs), they are facilities such as oil refineries, chemical plants and large fuel and chemical storage sites where large quantities of hazardous materials are stored, handled or processed. In Queensland, MHFs also include facilities that store above threshold quantities of explosives and undertake some processing activity.
