You will need to comply with these rules if you intend to participate in the National Energy Market by generating or supplying electricity, including if your power station is accredited to create renewable energy certificates (large-scale generation certificates).

The National Electricity Rules exist so that market participants understand their rights and responsibilities, and there is appropriate regulation so that consumers do not pay more than necessary for their electricity.
