On-course wagering permit - Queensland

Description

You will need to apply for this licence if you are a licensed race club and want to conduct a totalisator at a racecourse.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

You must be a club licensed to hold race meetings.

Duration

An on-course wagering permit remains in effect for the term stated on the permit, or for the term necessary and reasonable to enable the permit holder to undertake and complete the permit holder's operations under the permit for a stated meeting or meetings.

Application process

Apply

You must submit the following to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR):

  • Form 5: Application for an on-course wagering permit
  • required attachments.

Your application should be accompanied (where applicable) by:

  • the club's last 3 years audited financial statements
  • the club's constitution
  • copy of certificate of incorporation
  • details of the club's totalisator control system
  • copy of the letter of refusal from Tattsbet Limited to enter into an agency agreement with the club.

Transfer

This licence cannot be transferred.
