Overseas visitor tattoo permit - Queensland

Description

You will need this permit if you live outside of Australia and intend to visit Queensland to perform body art tattooing procedures for a fee or reward.

You can apply for a maximum of 31 days with a maximum of 2 permits per person per year.

If you live in Australia and are not licensed but want to visit Queensland to perform body art tattooing procedures, you must hold a tattoo operator or tattooist licence

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • be 18 years or older
  • provide proof of where you will do the body art procedures
  • hold a current certificate in Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments (HLTINF005)
  • an application for a visiting tattooist permit to perform body art tattooing procedures must be made to the chief executive.

Permits will be issued for a maximum of 31 days
