You will need to comply with this code if you are involved in the import or manufacture of hazardous chemicals. It provides guidelines for the preparation of safety data sheets, documents which provide information on the properties of hazardous chemicals, the ways in which they affect health and safety in the workplace, and the ways in which their health and safety risks may be managed.
A hazardous chemical is any substance, mixture or article that satisfies the criteria for a hazard class in the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
You will either need to comply with this code or an alternative method that sets an equivalent or higher standard of work health and safety.
