Q-Ride registered service provider registration - Queensland

Description

You will need to be registered as a Q-Ride registered service provider to deliver the Q-Ride training curriculum to learner motorcycle riders.

If you are not an accredited rider trainer, you must employ (or otherwise engage) an accredited rider trainer to deliver the Q-Ride curriculum.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • hold public liability insurance cover of at least $10 million and list the agency as a third part
  • have a suitable road training area that you have landowner permission to use
  • be a suitable person
  • hold rider trainer accreditation or employ (or otherwise engage) someone who does.

You will be subject to annual audits and will be responsible for the associated costs.

To apply, you must:

  • complete a 'Q-Ride registered service provider new/renew/amend application form'
  • visit the Department of Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre to apply for and pay the applicable fee for a police criminal history check
  • submit a completed application form with all relevant documentation.

Up to six weeks

Transfer

The registration of a Q-Ride registered service provider cannot be assigned or transferred.
