Q-Ride registered service provider registration - Queensland

Description

You will need to be registered as a Q-Ride registered service provider to deliver the Q-Ride training curriculum to learner motorcycle riders.

If you are not an accredited rider trainer, you must employ (or otherwise engage) an accredited rider trainer to deliver the Q-Ride curriculum.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • hold public liability insurance cover of at least $10 million and list the agency as a third part
  • have a suitable road training area that you have landowner permission to use
  • be a suitable person
  • hold rider trainer accreditation or employ (or otherwise engage) someone who does.

You will be subject to annual audits and will be responsible for the associated costs.

You can obtain this registration by following the steps below:

  1. Review the 'Business Rules for providing Q-Ride Training'.
  2. Prepare your application for lodgment together with all supporting documents - evidence of identity, copy of public liability insurances, details of suitable training area and landowner authority, evidence that you are or you employ an accredited rider trainer and a senior trainer.
  3. Submit your application via email or post.
  4. The agency will conduct a suitable person assessment (criminal history check) and assess the supporting documents to determine your ability to comply with the scheme.
  5. The agency will consider your application within 28 days and advise of their decision within a further 14 days.
  6. The agency will conduct an initial audit to ensure you are complying with the business rules.

The registration of a Q-Ride registered service provider cannot be assigned or transferred.
