Radiation safety accreditation certificate - Queensland


You will need this accreditation if you intend to assess radiation sources or premises to determine if they comply with the relevant safety standard. They can issue a certificates of compliance to a possession licensee if the radiation source and premises are found to be compliant with the relevant safety standard.

This accreditation allows you to assess particular:

  • premises where a radiation source is used
  • premises where radioactive substances are stored
  • radiation sources.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must be:

  • a suitable person to hold the accreditation
  • hold the relevant qualifications and training
  • obtain a criminal history and security check
  • hold the relevant skills, competency, knowledge and experience.
