Radiation possession licence - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence if you have the overall ownership and control of a radiation source. Radiation sources can include:

  • laser and ionising radiation equipment
  • sealed radioactive substances
  • unsealed radioactive substance.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • be a suitable person to hold the licence
  • obtain a criminal history and security check
  • have an approved 'Radiation Safety and Protection Plan' that outlines the radiation practice, the associated risks, how the risks will be managed and how the safety measures will remain effective.
