Road corridor permit - Queensland

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to undertake any of the following within the boundaries of a state-controlled road corridor:

  • undertaking an activity
  • locating or constructing a structure or thing
  • maintaining a structure or thing
  • upgrading a structure or thing
  • operating a structure or thing.

Example uses of this permit include, but are limited to:

  • placing structures on a road corridor (e.g. advertising signs, fences, bee hives)
  • conducting works (e.g. laying cables or clearing land)
  • using a road corridor as a place of business (e.g. roadside vending).

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • indemnify the department from any loss, damage or expense incurred as a result of the structure or activity
  • obtain public liability insurance for at least $20 million.
