Rural plant code of practice 2004 - Queensland

Description

You will need to comply with this code if you use rural plant, which can come in many shapes and sizes of machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools. Rural plant includes, but is not limited to:

  • planters
  • harvesters
  • hoppers
  • silos
  • farm vehicles (e.g. tractors and all terrain vehicles)
  • electric tools such as saws, drills, grinders
  • irrigation equipment
  • workshop tools and equipment
  • implements.

This code provides practical guidance on how to comply with your work health and safety duties, including effective ways to identify and manage risks.

You will either need to comply with this code or an alternative method that sets an equivalent or higher standard of work health and safety.
