To possess weapons or firearms, you must take all reasonable precautions to store them safely and to ensure that they do not come into possession of a person who is not authorised to possess them.
Different categories of weapons and firearms are subject to specific storage requirements, including, but not limited to:
- number of weapons
- weapon state (eg. unloaded, with the bolt removed or, otherwise, the action broken)
- type of storage facility.
