You will need this licence to temporarily release a contaminant into the environment in response to an applicable event.
An applicable event is an event or series of events, either natural or caused by sabotage that was not foreseen when particular conditions were imposed on an environmental approval or transitional environmental program. For example, a flood or bushfire that was not, in fact, considered at the time the relevant conditions were applied could be considered an applicable event.
