Tow truck driver certificate - Queensland

You will need this certificate to drive a tow truck attending:

  • the scene of an incident
  • a seized police vehicle
  • remove vehicles from private property.

For crash towing, this certificate authorises you to prepare the motor vehicle for towing and to clean up the scene of the incident efficiently and safely.

A tow truck driver can only operate under the authority of a holder of a tow truck licence.

Service type

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
