Tug Licence - Queensland


This licence is required to use or employ a tug for conducting vessels or plying for hire within the Mackay Harbour.

A new licence will not be available to operators until at least 2014.

Demonstrated operational experience and/or capacity to deliver the services required in the port.


This licence remains in effect for up to 10 years (duration is negotiable).


Fees will be determined at the time applications for licence are invited (2014).

This licence cannot be transferred without North Queensland Bulk Ports consent, after due diligence.
