A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
This permit remains in effect for the period specified in the permit, determined according to the activity and circumstances.

You can apply for this permit by submitting a completed application form to your regional office.
A development permit issued under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 is required to physically construct the works (eg pump) through which the water authorised to be taken under a water permit is accessed unless the water is taken using a water truck then a development permit is not required (exempt development).
