You will be required to hold a yellow card if you intend to work with adults who have a disability. Holding a yellow card states that you have undergone criminal history screening.
A yellow card is mandatory for an engaged person at a funded non-government disability service provider or a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provider. An engaged person includes:
- executive officers, members of a board, management committee or other governing body.
It is the obligation of the service provider to ensure that all engaged persons hold a yellow card.
