Works licence (offshore) - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to carry out work directly connected to mineral exploration and / or production activities in Queensland's offshore area.

This licence covers activities outside the geographic area of your existing licence. It will authorise activities which are directly connected with work carried out under an existing offshore exploration, retention or mining licence, and which are necessary to perform that work.

Queensland's offshore area extends three nautical miles out from the coastal baseline. To undertake activities beyond this area, you will need to apply for a Commonwealth licence.
