You will need this licence if you intend to operate a business that removes any amount of friable asbestos. Friable means that when it's dry, or as the result of a work process, it may be crumbled, pulverised or reduced to a powder by hand pressure.
Class A licence holders must ensure the removal of friable asbestos is directly supervised by a nominated supervisor. Class A licence holders are also authorised to carry out Class B asbestos removal work.
Holders of this licence must comply with the code of practice 'How to safely remove asbestos'.
