Commercial wildlife licence for dead macropods - Queensland

You need this licence to buy, sell or process dead macropods.  This licence applies to a site or a premises as well as to a holder (a person or corporation).

There are three types of licence depending on your business activity:

  1. Dealer site - allows you to buy macropod carcasses and skins on site. This licence does not allow you to process the carcasses, meat or skins.  It is sometimes known as a 'field depot' licence.
  2. Meat processing - allows you to process macropod meat at the site.
  3. Tannery - allows you to process macropod skins at the site.
