Electrical work training permit - Queensland

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to obtain an electrical work licence but do not yet satisfy its eligibility requirements. An electrical work training permit will allow you to undergo the training required to be eligible for an electrical work licence.

As a permit holder, you may only perform electrical work within the scope and dates stated on your permit and under the supervision of an appropriately licensed electrical worker.

An electrical work training permit:

  • does not entitle the holder to another electrical licence, and
  • must not be taken into account in deciding whether the holder is qualified to obtain or hold anther electrical licence.

If your required training is not completed within the time period that your permit is issued for, you must apply for a new permit. Permits cannot be renewed.
