Gaming nominee - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence if you're a manager responsible for the conduct of gaming on a particular gaming site.

The Gaming Machine Regulation 2002 prescribes the gaming duties and gaming tasks a licensee must carry out.

A gaming nominee licence can only be granted if you have been appointed to the position by your employer. You can only work at one gaming site as a gaming nominee.

Eligibility requirements

To apply for a gaming nominee licence, you must:

  • be 18 or over
  • complete the approved responsible service of gambling (RSG) training course - you have 3 months from the date of starting employment to obtain your approved RSG course certificate
  • complete the mandatory gaming nominee training - you must attach your gaming nominee training certificate of attendance to this application.

Application process

Apply

New applicants can apply online or complete and post us the Application for liquor and gaming individual employee (Form 82).

You must attach a Nomination of gaming nominee (Form 68), which has been completed and signed by the authorised executive officer(s) of the gaming site.

You must also provide 2 identical, colour, passport-size photos of yourself with your completed application. The photos must meet the following requirements:

  • They must not be more than 6 months old
  • They must be taken against a plain, light-coloured background (e.g. cream, pale blue or white)
  • They must be approximately 35mm wide x 45mm high (passport size)
  • They must display a full view of head and shoulders without any head-covering - if you wear a head-covering for religious reasons, we will accept a photo of you wearing it, but your facial features must be clearly shown
  • If you normally wear glasses, you should do so in the photo; however, tinted glasses are not acceptable.

Photos can be emailed, but you can't post us scanned copies.

Renewing applicants can renew online or complete and post us the Application for liquor and gaming individual employees (Form 82).

You must also attach the photos as outlined above.

Transfer

This licence cannot be transferred.
