Keno employee - Queensland


A Keno employee licence is required by anyone who is:

  • employed by an organisation licensed to conduct keno in Queensland and has work duties relating to the conduct of Keno games
  • identified as a key operator for a keno licensee (this includes anyone who is able to exercise significant influence over the Keno licensee's operations; and/or has a paid position, policy-making position, or authority over the Keno licensee's operations, making it in the public interest that they be a licensed Keno employee).

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.


Venue employees who sell Keno products are not required to hold a Keno employee licence.


A Keno employee licence is valid for an indefinite period from the date of issue; however, it expires 1 year after notification of cessation of employment.
