Keno employee licence - Queensland

Description

You will need this licence if you're a key employee of a business licensed to conduct Keno in Queensland. You are a key employee if you do any of the following:

  • occupy or act in a managerial position or carry out managerial functions in relation to the primary licensee's operations
  • can affect or significantly influence the operation conducted under the primary licence
  • occupy or act in a position designated in the lottery operator's control system as a key position.

Exemptions

Licensed venue employees who sell Keno products don't need to hold a Keno employee licence.

Eligibility requirements

To apply for this licence, you must:

  • be at least 18
  • attach a letter of intent of employment from the operating authority operator, stating they intend to employ you as a Keno employee or that you are to carry out the duties of a Keno employee
  • agree to have your fingerprints taken - the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation will contact you to arrange a suitable time and place.

Duration

This licence is valid from the date of issue until 1 year after you cease employment as a Keno employee.

Application process

You can apply online or complete and post us the Application for liquor and gaming individual employees (Form 82).

You must provide 2 identical, colour, passport-size photos of yourself with your completed application. The photos must meet the following requirements:

  • They must not be more than 6 months old.
  • They must be taken against a plain, light-coloured background (e.g. cream, pale blue or white).
  • They must be approximately 35mm wide x 45mm high (passport size).
  • They must display a full view of head and shoulders without any head-covering. If you wear a head-covering for religious reasons, we will accept a photo of you wearing it, but your facial features must be clearly shown.
  • If you normally wear glasses, you should wear them in the photo; however, tinted glasses are not acceptable.

Photos can be emailed, but you can't post scanned copies.

Transfer

This licence cannot be transferred.
