Wagering key person - Queensland

Description

A wagering key person is a key employee of the organisation licensed to conduct wagering in Queensland, who:

  • occupies or acts in a managerial position or carries out managerial functions in relation to any operations conducted under the relevant wagering authority; or
  • is in a position to affect or significantly influence any operations; or
  • occupies or acts in a position designated in the authority operator's control system as a key position.

Eligibility Requirements


Must Have

If you are applying for a wagering key person licence you:

  • must be 18 years and over to apply for this licence; and
  • must supply a Letter of intent of employment from the authority operator addressed to the Executive Director, Office of Liquor and Gaming (OLGR) stating they to employ you as an key person or that you are to carry out the duties of a key person; and
  • must agree to have your fingerprints taken. You will be contacted by OLGR during the application process to arrange a suitable time and place.

Duration

A wagering key person licence is valid for an indefinite period from the date of issue; however, it expires 1 year after notification of cessation of employment.
