You will need this permit if you want to sell your wine at a one-off event (e.g. festivals, trade shows, conventions) that is not held at the licensed premises detailed on your wine licence. The events can be held at either a licensed or unlicensed venue. However, restrictions will apply if the event is held at licensed premises.
A wine permit can be issued to:
- an individual licensee
- a group of licensees intending to operate from the same area at the same event (e.g. operating a Queensland wine booth at a major festival).
