Dairy Processor Accreditation - South Australia

Description

You will need accreditation if you intend to process milk for retail sale or process milk into products such as yoghurt or ice cream. You will need accreditation if milk or milk products are the base or major component of the end product.

There are two categories of accreditation, based on the amount of milk processed:

  • large scale dairy processor
  • small scale dairy processor.

You will need separate accreditation if you intend to collect milk from a dairy primary production business for transport to a dairy processing business or to transport bulk dairy products between dairy processors.
