You will need this registration if you wish to practise as a registered agent.

A registered agent is a person who is entitled to represent a party involved in a case lodged under the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA) in proceedings before the South Australian Employment Tribunal.

To be eligible for registration, you must:

  • have relevant qualifications
  • have extensive experience in industrial relations
  • have a high level of written and oral communication skills
  • have a sound understanding of the human, social and political factors which influence industrial relations
  • have experience in undertaking negotiations in the industrial relations field
  • have experience appearing as an advocate before industrial authorities
  • have experience in the interpretation and implementation of awards, industrial agreements and industrial relations policies
  • have reasonable knowledge of the legislative framework within which industrial relations operate.

  • a statutory declaration that you understand and agree to abide by the Code of Conduct; and
  • evidence of registration fee payment.
