Ammunition Permit - South Australia

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to possess ammunition.

Ammunition is used in a firearm and includes:

  • a cartridge case fitted with a live primer and a projectile
  • a cartridge case fitted with a live primer and containing a propelling charge and a projectile
  • live primers
  • propellants
  • blank cartridges.

Ammunition does not include:

  • inert blank cartridges/drill rounds
  • snap caps or items designed to fit in the breech or chamber to prevent damage to the firing pin
  • paint-balls
  • air pellet.

  • have a genuine reason to possess the ammunition.
