You may need to comply with these standards to use a crane, hoist, or building maintenance unit at your workplace.
These standard provide the essential guidelines for the design, construction and testing of cranes, hoists and winches. The crane, hoist or unit must be maintained, inspected and operated in accordance with the written instructions of the designer or manufacturer, or where it is not practical to obtain those instructions, in accordance with this standard.
