Description

An authorised news media representative is a person who was nominated by a member of the news media to receive notices of suppression orders. A suppression order is an order that forbids the publication of evidence to prevent prejudice or undue hardship to an alleged victim, potential witness or child.

Authorised representatives will receive notices of suppression orders immediately after the agency has entered the order into the register.
