You will need this licence to acquire and use security sensitive ammonium nitrate (SSAN) as an explosive. SSAN is a blend of ammonium nitrate that contains greater than 45% ammonium nitrate.

This licences authorities the following SSAN related activities:

  • manufacture
  • store
  • transport
  • purchase or acquire
  • sell or supply
  • use or dispose.
