You will need this licence if you intend to promote a professional or public boxing or martial art event in South Australia. A martial art means kickboxing or any sporting activity (other than boxing) organised so that contestants engage in a fight principally by inflicting blows on each other. Boxing refers to fist fighting.
A professional or public boxing or martial arts event means an event:
- where professional or public boxing or martial arts are conducted
- that Is conducted for-profit
- where the contestants participate for a prize or monetary reward (other than a trophy)
- where public attendance is actively promoted by the event promoter (regardless of whether a fee is charged for admission).
