Description

You will need to be registered to act as a building work supervisor. Building work supervisors make sure that all building work performed meets the required building standards.

You may apply for registration to supervise either:

  • general building work - covers more complex building activities in the supervision and coordination of other trades
  • specified building work - covers supervision of one or more building trades or building activities.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you will need to provide evidence of:

  • trade certificates and/or other qualifications
  • technical qualifications
  • evidence of experience.

Applicants must also provide a National Police Certificate of no more than 12 months old.

Sole traders must be a registered building work supervisor or have a supervisor approved for their business. Companies must have or employ a registered building work supervisor.
