Building Work Supervisor Registration - South Australia

Description

You will need to be registered to act as a building work supervisor. Building work supervisors organise, supervise and control the work of builders and ensure that all building work meets building standards.

You may apply for registration to supervise either:

  • general building work, meaning the complete building processes of building work of any trade
  • specified building work, meaning a single or multiple building trade activity, for instance bricklaying, or bricklaying and painting and decorating.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you will need to supply evidence that you meet requirements in terms of:

  • trade certificates and other qualifications
  • technical qualifications
  • evidence of experience.

Applicants will also need to provide a National Police Certificate no more than 12 months old.

Sole traders must be a registered building work supervisor or have a supervisor approved for their business. Companies must have or employ a registered building work supervisor.
