Description

You will need this certificate to prove that a new building or a renovated existing building is suitable for occupation.

This certificate is needed for building work on new and existing habitable structures but not required for non-habitable structures, such as sheds, carports and verandahs.

Class 1a or Class 10 buildings do not require a certificate of occupancy.
