You will need this authorisation to undertake vehicle on the road testing.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this authorisation you must:

  • hold a current South Australian Motor Driving Instructor's licence
  • already be appointed as an authorised examiner competency based training and assessment for class C vehicles (car).

Additional information

The registrar of motor vehicles, as a matter of general policy, will not be appointing more authorised examiners for class 'C' (car) at this time. This policy will be applied flexibly.

If you intend to become an authorised examiner, you may submit, in writing, reasons why the general policy should not apply to you.
