You will need to comply with this code if you intend to work as a registered private certifier. Private certifiers make assessments, requests information, give consent and approval or makes any other decision in relation to a proposed development.
The code is intended to provide authoritative guidance on acceptable standards of conduct for private certifiers. The code sets out minimum requirements in relation to the duties of private certifiers, including with respect to knowledge, professionalism, public interest and safety, sustainability of the natural and built environment, advertising and payment.
