Code of Practice for Road Trains (B-Triples) - South Australia

Description

You will need to comply with this code if you intend to operate a road train that is a B-triple. A B-triple is a vehicle combination consisting of a prime mover towing three semi-trailers meeting certain mass, length, engine and axle requirements set out in the code.

This code contains all the requirements that an owner, driver or operator of a road train must comply with when they are operating the vehicle on South Australian roads. This includes:

  • mass limits
  • route access and conditions
  • turning requirements.
