Electronic Recording System Approval - South Australia

Description

You will need this approval if you intend to manufacture Electronic Work Diaries (EWDs) in fatigue-regulated heavy vehicles.

Fatigue-regulated heavy vehicles include those with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) or combination GVM of more than 12 tonnes, or a bus fitted to carry more than 12 people.

EWDs are electronic recording systems used to record work and rest hours (a log book). There are specific design requirements EWD manufacturers must comply with.
