Environmental Authorisation Licence - South Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to undertake a prescribed activity of environmental significance. An activity of environmental significance has the potential or is likely to cause a significant impact on the environment. Environmental impact may include air pollution, noise pollution, the production of heat, the production of solid, liquid or gas waste.

This licence will entitle you to carry out an activity otherwise banned or restricted due to significant environmental impact.

Prescribed activities of environmental significance include:

  • chemical works and storage
  • mineral processing
  • resource recovery
  • waste transport or disposal
  • meat and fish processing.
