Event Permit - South Australia

Description

You will need a permit if you intend to hold an event in a national park or reserve, such as:

  • fishing and surfing competitions
  • fundraising events
  • product demonstration days
  • bike / car racing
  • orienteering
  • bee keeping
  • scientific experiments
  • conducting activities for fee / reward.

You may apply for two types of permit:

  • a single event permit to hold a one-off event in a national park or reserve in the space of 1 year
  • a multiple event permit to hold events in national parks and reserves on a regular basis over the space of 1 year.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

You must hold public liability insurance cover to be eligible for this permit. Special guidelines apply to events held in the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park.

Duration

A permit lasts for the duration of the event or events (1 year if multiple event permit).
