Exempt Display Permit - South Australia

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to carry out a specified fireworks display or specified series of fireworks displays in the course of a specified event.

This display must be conducted for public or community purposes by or on behalf of a prescribed body where it is not practicable to engage a licensed pyrotechnician due to the distance that would need to be travelled.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you:

  • have or will gain appropriate experience in the safe use and handling of fireworks of the kind to be used in the display
  • do not carry on a business consisting of, or involving, the use of fireworks
  • are at least 21 years of age
  • are a fit and proper person to use fireworks in the conduct of the display
  • have a National Police Certificate (Clearance) issued within the last 3 months.
