Food Standards Code - South Australia

The code contains general and prescriptive standards for food sold in Australia, and includes detailed requirements on topics such as:

  • food labelling and advertising
  • date marking
  • permissible food additives
  • preservatives
  • colouring
  • flavourings and flavour enhancers
  • artificial sweetening substances
  • vitamins and minerals.
