You must register High Risk Manufactured Water Systems (HRMWS) that are installed and operating on your commercial premises. HRMWS include cooling water systems and warm water systems. Each HRMWS must be separately registered with the relevant local council.
Cooling water systems are heat exchange systems that consist of a heat generating plant, a heat rejection plant, interconnecting water recirculating pipe work and associated pumps, valves and controls, and include a cooling tower or evaporative condenser.
Warm water systems are reticulated water systems that distribute or recirculate warm water through the majority of its branches at a nominal temperature of 45 degrees Celsius by means of a temperature controlling device.
