You will need this registration if you own premises on which High Risk Manufactured Water Systems (HRMWS) are installed and operating. HRMWS include cooling water systems and warm water systems.
Cooling water systems are heat exchange systems that consists of a heat generating plant, a heat rejection plant, interconnecting water recirculating pipe work and associated pumps, valves and controls, and includes a cooling tower or evaporative condenser.
Warm water systems are reticulated water systems that distributes or recirculate warm water through the majority of its branches at a nominal temperature of 45 degrees Celsius by means of a temperature controlling device.
Each HRMWS must be separately registered with the relevant local council.
